What's in your Wallet?

I think this is the quote on a TV commercial. It advertises a credit card. Not sure which one though.

My wallet is a small french purse. It is a burgundy leather with a small rose motif on the outside. I have used this particular type wallet for probably the last 20 years. It is very practical with a few slots for credit cards, a place for a few photos, a place for cash and a change purse on the the outside. It snaps closed with a magnet type closure. If you knew me for a long time you would know that this is the style of wallet that I have to have. I like the way it is organized and convenient for the change. Very compact.

The contents of my wallet are very organized. I have a section that has all the cards for the store discounts, etc. An area for the important stuff like my identification such as my driver's license, insurance card and library card. There is only one credit card in my wallet. I carry a small amount of cash and there is usually change. The pictures I found to be a bit outdated. I guess I will have to get new ones. My children don't look anything like what I have in there. I also have quite a few gift cards with small balances on them. A few business cards including one of my own.

What do my the contents represent about me? I guess, I would have to say if I found my wallet on the ground and started going through it I would be disappointed that there wasn't more money. But, the cash that is there is in order from smallest to largest and facing the right direction. I would see that family is important because of the amount of pictures of children are in it and the few of a couple. The owner doesn't have time to update the photos. Store discounts are important because of the amount of membership cards in the wallet. It would indicate that things are simple because the lack of credit cards and cash being carried. The necessities are all that is there. The owner of the wallet would appear to be organized and not carry much around with her.

There are two items that are in my wallet that would make no sense to anyone who found it. The first is a small sticker for a hamburger stand in a small town in Wisconsin. This has great sentimental value to it. When I run across it as I am searching for something in my wallet it brings a feeling of family memories and happy times. A place of comfort for me from my father's childhood. The second is a set of gold coins in the change section of my wallet. They are about the size of a quarter. They have an angel design on them. As I reach for change I frequently pick one or both of them up. This reminds me of my faith and the angel in my pocket.
